Hello and good morning everyone! I want to start off by saying I hope that all of you east coast readers are staying safe:)
As the title implies, today is Tidbit Tuesday. Every Tuesday I will be offering up some advice as well as some tips and tricks I have learned in my 4 years I have been using Etsy.
If you have a lot of items in your shop and you want to edit them(i.e. quantity, price increase or decrease, description) don’t use an expensive service like Etsy on sale and definitely don’t try to edit each listing individually. I use a site called craftopolis.com and it has saved me countless hours when I need to drop prices for a sale. It is so easy and quick!
First, go to http://www.craftopolis.com. Go to edit express and type in your Etsy user name at the top. From there you will need to import your shop information by clicking the import button on the left. From there you can edit anything you want!
I have found this website to be extremely useful. I have over 300 products in my shop and if I were to edit them individually I would be using up a ton of time.
I also wanted to introduce you all to some new items I have added to the shop. The first are marketing ads/postcards. They are much like the postcards you can purchase to match your shop but these are seasonal themed cards/ads. When you purchase you will send me the information you would ike such as the sale name, coupon code, and percent off or free shipping. You will receive a web ad as well as a jpg file you can print and send along in your orders or post them at the local grocery store or craft show! These are a really fun way to promote your products for the holiday season and can be used again and again with different coupon codes.
Here are some samples I’ve made up. There are more coming soon!
I have also been working hard on some new designs. I have a few holiday sets as well as some regular shop sets that I will be adding to the shop later today…but you all get a sneek peek!
I have also added some 5×7 cards to my shop as well. These are all you print jpg’s and can be used for any occassion! The birth announcements can easily be changed into a chic birthday party invitation or a bridal shower invite…the possibilities are endless! (You can click on the images to enlarge them)
I also have holiday cards available! I tuck one of these photo cards inside of our usual Christmas card every year so our family and friends can see how much our daughters have grown. It’s so fun to get a family photo taken and put it in really fun card like these. Take a look!
SN: Pink color on birth announcements can be changed to blue for a boy.
I have also been working on the holiday gift guide. If you are interested in advertising in the guide please visit my website and fill ou the form or send me an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot. The cutoff date will be extended to November 15, 2012.
